Effective magnetic installations rely on two essential components: a magnet and a magnetic receptive surface. Understanding how these elements interact is critical for achieving reliable holding strength and long-term performance.
The magnet provides the magnetic field. This may include flexible magnetic sheeting, magnetic strips, neodymium magnets or pot magnets. Magnet strength depends on grade, thickness and size.
The receptive material contains steel or iron particles that attract the magnet. Unlike a magnet, it does not generate magnetic force on its own.
Together, these components form a complete magnetic system.
Magnetic performance is influenced by both sides of the system. Increasing magnet strength alone may not improve holding force if the receptive surface is too thin or uneven.
Used in retail wall graphics, removable signage and interchangeable displays.
Used in industrial mounting systems and engineering assemblies.
Recommended for larger format graphics or heavier installations.
