Flexible magnetic sheeting PULL STRENGTH TABLE

Regular or high energy magnetic strength: the answer to all of your questions

We work hard to provide high quality magnetic solutions at affordable cost and this pull strength table will help you save even more.

Our flexible magnetic sheeting is available from 0.012” to 0.060” thick in 5 different materials: Plain brown (on both sides), with white matte vinyl, with white gloss vinyl, with adhesive face and now black matte vinyl.  Our rolls are as wide as 24”, 30”, 40” 48” and 60’’!

Please take note: only the magnetic material is calculated when describing the thickness of our magnetic sheetingFor example, when we refer to a .030’’ thick white matte vinyl magnetic sheeting, the vinyl laminate (which is +/-.004’’) is not calculated in the .030’’ thickness.  Thus, the total thickness of this .030’’ thick white matte vinyl magnetic sheeting option would be +/-.035’’ thick.  This to say that a .015’’ thick plain brown magnetic sheeting would have a total thickness of .015’’ since it doesn’t have any laminate.

Notes: Magnetized method and poles per inch are identical to the industry standards.  On the double-sided magnetic sheeting the shinny side (uv coated and inside of the roll) is 7-8% stronger than the other side (plain brown).

Regular or high energy strength, what’s the difference?

We offer standard energy magnetic sheeting as well as high energy magnetic sheeting.  What’s the difference?

The standard energy magnetic sheeting has not been magnetically oriented, so not all of the magnetic domain align in the same orientation. In fact, some of the domains cancel each other out because of their alignment with each other. Most flexible magnetic sheeting within the industry is manufactured in this fashion and thus the term “standard energy”. The technical term for the standard energy material is “isotropic”, meaning the material has not been magnetically oriented.

Our high energy magnetic material has been oriented during the process of manufacturing the material so that most of the magnetic domains within the material align in the same direction (Most of the north poles are facing in the same direction, as well as most of the south poles). Because none or few of the magnetic domains cancel each other out, the net effect is that the material produces a much higher holding force and magnetic energy. The technical term for magnetically oriented material is “Anisotropic”. However, in the industry we usually use the terms “standard energy” and/or “high energy”.

Regular or high energy strength, what’s the big deal?

Knowing the pull strength of a magnetic sheet might open the door to new opportunities or offer an extra savings for your business.

Here are a few common examples:

  1. Can I print car magnets on a HP Latex printer?
  2. Saving opportunities for your magnetic signs
  3. Your magnetic signs are not strong enough?
  4. World’s thinnest and widest printable magnetic sheeting
  5. Wall mounting solutions
